HRH has purchased a new carriage for us to travel the country in. Whilst I am undoubtedly impressed with the skill that has gone into the endeavour and appreciate the impact that our arriving in such an equipage will engender, I cannot help thinking that horseless carriages simply will not take off....... He is inordinately pleased with the thing and I must admit it is certainly handsome.

First event of the year
Last weekend HRH and I travelled to Fort Amhurst for the first Drill Day of the season with 79th Cameron Highlanders. Great fun although it was very cold! Prinny was his usual fun loving self but I was disguised as my other alter ego - a spanish partisan. As it was out annual health and safety day (the men with the safety goggles get everywhere!!) we had to be certified as safe to fire for the year. A friend leant me a carbine to carry for part of the day and they even trusted me to roll the round that I fired. I like things that go boom!! And I now want a carbine much to HRH's disgust....
